Dr. William Wind is a sports medicine and knee & shoulder arthroscopy physician with UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, team physician at Niagara University and supervising physician for NFMMC’s Sports Medicine Program. He is also a clinical associate professor of orthopaedics at the Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. Wind completed both medical school and his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University at Buffalo. He attended the Cleveland Clinic to complete his fellowship in sports medicine, knee & shoulder arthroscopy.
Wind is the assistant team physician for the Buffalo Sabres and the head orthopaedics for Niagara Community College Athletics. He is also the head team physician for both the Rochester Americans and University at Buffalo Athletics. Wind is an active member of various societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the NHL Team Physician Society.
