Memorial Medical Center has been recognized for high quality care in a number of areas.

Quality Scorecard

Memorial is one of only 137 hospitals nationwide selected to participate in Aligning Forces for Quality (AF4Q),

A quality improvement initiative that aims to improve the quality, efficiency and equity of care across the country and in the Greater Niagara Region.

Memorial was hand-picked to join the AF4Q Hospital Quality Network by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF)

The nation’s largest philanthropy dedicated to improving the health and health care of all Americans.

The AF4Q Hospital Quality Network

Includes several quality improvement efforts designed to help hospitals tackle key quality issues. Niagara Falls Memorial will participate in two: reducing readmissions for cardiac patients and increasing emergency department throughput.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has received the Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association.

The award recognizes Memorial’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted guidelines.

Memorial’s Schoellkopf Health Center has attained a five-star quality rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

The rating was posted on Nursing Home Compare, the official U.S. Government website for Medicare.

Nursing Home Compare

Allows consumers to compare information about nursing homes. It contains quality of care information on every Medicare and Medicaid-certified nursing home in the country, including over 15,000 nationwide.
