Medical Education

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, the only teaching hospital in Niagara County, offers residency programs in Family Medicine and Pharmacy.

Memorial is accredited by the American Board of Family Medicine. The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) has awarded the Family Medicine program Initial Accreditation status.

Our PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Residency accreditation by ASHP is an important driver for excellence and serves as a bridge between education and practice.

Family Practice Residency has been an important part of Memorial’s mission and service to the community since the 1970s. Since 1979, many of our program’s graduates have chosen to remain in practice in Western New York.

The Pharmacy Residency program was founded in 2014 as the only PGY-1 Program in Niagara County.

We Looking For The Brightest!

Memorial’s academic affiliations with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and D’Youville College extend beyond our residency programs. We are also a clinical education teaching site for medical, pharmacy, and nursing students completing clinical rotations.

We are looking for team-oriented residents to join our programs. If you are looking for a well-rounded educational experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment Niagara Falls Memorial is the place for you.
