Niagara Falls, NY — Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center (NFMMC) is pleased to announce that John H. Lopez has joined the hospital as Executive Director of Outpatient Services. Lopez brings a wealth of experience to this role, including leadership roles in corporate health systems, practice administration, public health, and operations management.
As Executive Director of Outpatient Services, Lopez will oversee the strategic direction and operational management of outpatient services, ensuring that NFMMC continues to deliver outstanding care to patients while adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Prior to joining NFMMC, Lopez served as Chief Executive/General Manager at Surgical Associates of Western New York, where he managed strategic initiatives and administrative operations of a General & Vascular Surgery Practice with up to 12 providers, three outpatient offices, and three ICAVL-accredited vascular ultrasound labs. In this role, he provided strategic leadership while overseeing all financial, policy, and functional aspects of practice operations.
Lopez also operated a management consultant firm, where he conducted strategic assessments of non-clinical operations & revenue cycles for private medical practices, hospitals/systems, and small businesses.
Lopez earned a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY College at Oswego and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Buffalo.

Founded in 1895, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center (NFMMC) has a long tradition of serving the Niagara community. NFMMC’s hospital and primary stroke program are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, and its primary care network is accredited by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Memorial’s inpatient services include a cardiac/stroke unit, a medical–surgical unit, an ICU, a Labor and Delivery unit, and an Adult Inpatient Psychiatry unit, the only one of its kind in Niagara County.
