Schoellkopf Health Center has completed renovations to the centers main entrance and parking lot thanks to funds received by the City of Niagara Falls’ Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
Updates to the entrance include repair and installation of new sidewalks and curbing, and paving of the circle and parking lot. Lighting improvements are also scheduled to be made at a later date.
A priority at the monthly Resident Council meetings, the residents of Schoellkopf and their families are appreciative that this project came to fruition.
“Thank you to the City of Niagara Falls for the Community Development funds received to complete these renovations, as the safety and care of our residents, their families, and our employees are of utmost importance,” said Guida.
Located adjacent to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, the 120-bed Schoellkopf Health Center features all private rooms and provides short- and long-term care for individuals in need of nursing or rehabilitative services. In addition, the center includes a sub-acute unit and hospice unit called David’s Path.
