Dr. Emerson earned a Master’s degree in Health Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his Medical degree at St.George’s University of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. Following his residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY at Buffalo, Dr. Emerson completed a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in 1994 and a second Interventional Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin / Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in 1995. Dr. Emerson is board certified in interventional cardiology. He maintains a cardiology practice, known as Empire Cardiology, PC, in Orchard Park, New York. Since 1995, Dr. Emerson has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor HS of the Department of Medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo. As Medical Director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory, Dr. Emerson will be responsible for overseeing the lab’s clinical performance, providing patient care, adhering to policies and procedures, and reporting clinical outcomes to New York State and national data registries.
