Gospel performers from across Western New York will gather Saturday (July 16) to celebrate faith and good health at 10th Annual Good News Gospel Festival and Health Fair.

The event will feature live gospel music along with health screenings, healthy living information and the always popular Niagara Falls OG Cruisers Classic Car Show.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will present the free festival from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center (NACC), 1201 Pine Ave. In case of rain the event will be moved indoors at the NACC.

Featured entertainment will be provided by recording artists The New Gospel Times and Wynetta Hall-McElveen. Also appearing will be the Potter’s House Shadow Mime Ministry, Stephanie Melody Thompson, Bethany Baptist Church Male Chorus, Joey Stewart, Potter’s House Shekinah and Zamar Dancers, Niagara Falls Children Pop Up Music Ministry and the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Gospel Choir.

Health screenings, giveaways and food vendors will be available.

Preceding the gospel festival at 9 a.m. will be the annual African American Male Wellness Walk with registration beginning at 7 a.m. This year’s 5K walk will begin at the NACC and follow a route that includes several sites of African American historical significance. The theme this year is “Healthy Men Make Healthy Families.”

The Good News Gospel Festival and Health Fair is sponsored by Memorial Medical Center, the City of Niagara Falls, C.B. Emmanuel Realty, Cricket Wireless of Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls Redevelopment LLC and United Healthcare Community Plan.
