Beyond the Basics: Interviewing Reluctant Children and Interviewing Children about Repeated Events

Reluctant children and children who have experienced repeated abuse present unique challenges for the forensic interviewer and those making decisions based on their interviews. This training will look at current research that applies to these topics and will offer suggestions for interviewing reluctant and chronically abused children.

This information will be helpful for beginning and intermediate level interviewers as well as multidisciplinary team members who rely on information from these types of interviews.

Lynn Aladeen has a Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance and has worked for a number of Children's Advocacy Centers in the states of Illinois and New York for more than 20 years.
