The heart of a community

We stand apart from other hospitals because we are independent. This gives us the ability to make important decisions about the care we provide to our community.  We remain independent because of our supporters—leaders from the community dedicated to caring for Niagara Falls and its surrounding communities. Because of their commitment to our mission, we are able to meet the complex needs of our patients.

When our community needs something, we build it.

When our patients require special care, we find a way to provide it.

All because of YOU.

Your Gift Has Great Power

History of the Foundation

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center was founded in 1895 by 200 citizens who saw the need for a hospital in the city of Niagara Falls and responded by pledging 25 cents per month to make it a reality.

The Foundation continues this tradition by raising financial support and awareness for programs and services that benefit the patients we serve.

Funds raised by the Foundation are used to purchase equipment, institute programs that enhance patient care, improve facilities and promote wellness.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is not reserved for just the wealthiest families. Planned gifts of any size support our mission. By remembering Memorial with a bequest in your will, or as a beneficiary of your life insurance or retirement plan assets,  can make a lasting difference in the Niagara community.

Charitable remainder trusts and gift annuities provide income for life for the donor and/or other beneficiary. They can also help save on estate and gift taxes. Different forms of giving offer different advantages. When making a planned gift, please consult with your attorney or other advisors, as well as Memorial’s Foundation. Please call the Foundation if in need of a referral.

Have you already provided for Memorial in your estate plan? Please notify us so we can recognize you and keep you informed of Memorial’s activities.

Corporate Giving

There are many ways your corporation or business can support the health and wellness of the Niagara community. A traditional monetary gift can support an area of specific interest or Memorial’s greatest needs while highlighting your company’s commitment to the community.

Your event sponsorship can also support patient care while reinforcing your brand. Multi-year pledges and in-kind contributions are also available. Your company can also provide matching gifts for your employees. Foundation staff would love to visit your business to explore opportunities for partnership or let us give you a tour.

Stocks/Securities

Gifts of appreciated securities can offer substantial tax benefits to the donor while benefiting Memorial. Contact your financial advisor or the Foundation for more information.
