Schoellkopf Health Center

The Schoellkopf Health Center provides short- and long-term care for people in need of nursing or rehabilitative services.

The center is the recipient of the Quality Award from IPRO, an independent organization dedicated to optimizing the quality of health care and the value of dollars spent on health care, and Best Practices Awards from the New York State Department of Health and the American Society on Aging.

Like Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, the 120-bed Schoellkopf facility features all private rooms.  Our experienced staff provides intensive physical and occupational therapy programs six days per week, in-house dialysis services and a calendar of intergenerational activities.

The Schoellkopf Health Center is adjacent to both the medical center and the beautiful and historic Schoellkopf Park.

The center recently announced a new partnership with Niagara Hospice that will lead to the opening of a dedicated hospice unit on the center's second floor. The hospice unit will be called David's Path in honor of David Winker, a beloved Memorial Medical Center employee who spent his final days surrounded by family members while being cared for at Niagara Hospice House.

The Schoellkopf Health Center enjoys a spacious, bright look with new flooring, new residents’ lounges and an expanded ground floor lobby. Nursing stations and charting rooms were recently upgraded and the main dining room features restaurant style meal service.

A key component of the center's recent million dollar renovation was the completion of the Rooker Rehabilitation Unit, made possible by a gift from Dr. and Mrs. Richard Rooker. A retired ear, nose and throat surgeon, Dr. Rooker, like his father, was a longtime member of Memorial’s medical staff.

Schoellkopf Health Center accepts and considers all applications without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, sex, handicaps, blindness, or sponsor, or sexual preference. To begin the process please complete this application for admission and return it to our admissions department.
