Home > News Room > Plumb to head Memorial's Family Medicine Residency Program Plumb to head Memorial's Family Medicine Residency ProgramNiagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has named Dr. Laurence Plumb director of its Family Medicine Residency Program. He replaces Dr. John Sauret, who is returning to private practice and assuming added responsibilities at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Plumb will assume overall responsibility for the only university affiliated physician teaching program in Niagara County. Since 1976, Memorial's three-year residency program has graduated more than 100 family medicine physicians, many of whom have remained to practice in the Greater Niagara community. A board certified family practice primary care physician who also serves as flight surgeon with the rank of colonel for the New York Army National Guard's 642nd Aviation Support Battalion, Dr. Plumb is an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. He will be leaving private practice to teach full-time and plans to retire from the military in March 2007. |
