Gourmet cooking class to highlight healthy eating

Apricot basted pork saute with grilled fruit, tri-color salad and key lime tarts will top the menu Wednesday, July 26, when Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center presents its monthly gourmet cooking class and food tasting.

Titled "Blood Glucose Numbers: Your Ticket to Good Health," the program will be led by Registered Dietitian Karen Gentile beginning at noon in the Mary C. Dyster Community Education Center, 621 Tenth St., Niagara Falls.

In addition to the gourmet menu, information will be available on "Living With Diabetes," a program that teaches key concepts about diabetes and gives practical information for daily living. The American Diabetes Association recognizes "Living With Diabetes" as meeting the national standards for diabetes self-management education.

To register for this month's gourmet cooking class, call 278-4523.
