Andres elected president of Memorial medical staff

Jerome Andres, M.D., has been elected president of the medical staff at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

Ronald Clarke, D.O., was named president-elect and Michael Beecher, M.D., chief of Memorial's Department of Medicine, was elected medical staff secretary/treasurer.

Their terms will be effective Jan. 1.

Dr. Andres, a primary care physician with offices at Niagara Family Medicine in Niagara Falls and Lewiston, is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and has been in private practice since 1984. He is a former chief of Memorial's Department of Family Medicine and served as program director of its Family Medicine Residency Program from 1994-2003.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Andres is a clinical assistant professor at the U.B. School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and a member of Memorial's Family Medicine Residency Program faculty. In addition, he provides home game physician coverage for the Niagara University men's and women's basketball teams.
